Cosmic Mysteries from Deep Space.

A third body from deep space is passing through the Solar System. The world of observers is excited, while the enlightened wonder how much material we can extract (resource gain). Let us begin from the start, in chronological order of events.

The first hero is the cosmic object ʻOumuamua (“messenger from distant worlds”). Looking back at this case, let us recall that it was greeted with great enthusiasm, after which interest gradually declined. But the object definitely deserves attention.

First, it moved perpendicularly to the motion of the planets in the Solar System. Then it made a kind of “looping,” during which it came closest to Earth – closer than to any other planet. It appeared as an elongated “cigar,” ten times longer than wide – for some, not corresponding to a natural object, too precisely shaped to be random.

The reflected light from the cigar changes or is absorbed. It turned out that it rotates around its axis – one rotation every 7 hours, something usually done to create gravity through centrifugal forces. Due to its high speed (100 km/s), it was impossible to attach a probe to it – astronomers only managed to observe it with telescopes, and then it disappeared. Later, a radio signal was also detected from the direction in which it left, though it is unclear whether it is related (still unexplained today).

Some scientists embarrassed themselves with statements such as: “Every year we observe similar objects.” Except that there is not a single photo of such an object – neither from professionals, nor from amateurs. So apparently, they observed such objects only in American cinema. This happened in 2018–2019.

The next hero is Didymos–Dimorphos – a binary system of asteroids orbiting in the Solar System. Since China continues to limit the export of rare earth metals (necessary for the production of electronic chips), NASA decided to hit one of them, an official experiment aimed at testing the possibility of changing its trajectory. The distance was large, but the attempt was successful. Naturally, it could not remain hidden that after the impact, a “tail” of debris appeared from the asteroid, 10,000 kilometers long – far too much for the previously announced collision. Conspiracists or scientists, some expressed the theory that NASA most likely used a nuclear warhead to break or chip pieces off the asteroid, which contains resources.

Then came a surprising research project from Harvard (led by Avi Loeb), during which metallic spheres were collected from the Pacific Ocean, by some claims – of extraterrestrial origin. From their composition it is clear that either they are chips (alien) or material for chips from asteroids that we ourselves collected.

After that, NASA activated an experiment to access the asteroid Psyche (diameter 226 km) – an object of unclear origin, composed entirely of gold, platinum, and rare earth elements. They are extremely valuable. If someone manages to “nudge” it toward Earth or break off pieces that can later be collected from the ocean – this would change the entire economic monopoly.

Next comes the mission Luna-25, which “crashed” – something almost impossible, considering the preparation and the multiple protective redundancies of the spacecraft before launch. There is talk of targeted jamming of the radio signal by outside interference lingering in the vicinity of the Moon. This is not about money or politics. We are talking about people who dedicate their lives to designing such spacecraft and planning missions. For them this is a failure that destroys them!

On Earth – in Mexico, fossils of “perhaps” extraterrestrials were discovered, presented in the Mexican parliament. In practice, we have artifacts and nothing more – for now their origin is unclear. Everything depends on the people who evaluate them.

It is expected that a third body from deep space will pass by Earth – namely 3I/ATLAS.

  • Origin: Its hyperbolic orbit shows that it does not originate from our Solar System.
  • Discovery: Detected by the ATLAS survey on July 1, 2025.
  • Closest to Earth: It will pass at a safe distance of about 1.8 astronomical units (170 million miles).
  • Closest to the Sun: Around October 30, 2025, it will reach 1.4 AU (130 million miles).
  • Observations: Visible from ground-based telescopes until September 2025, before passing behind the Sun. It will become visible again in December 2025.

And here comes the question: What will we do? Will we strike it, or only watch the passing resource, or ship – it doesn’t matter? We want to study it. Proposal one: to strike it with the aim of diverting it toward Mars, from where we can then carve it up.
Another option is to test rockets by fragmenting it, or to slow its speed so that it enters orbit around Earth, pulled by its gravity. We are eagerly awaiting the result.

Attack!
