ChatGPT – The Greatest Invention of the 21st Century: Why Some Cannot Accept It

“Artful intelligence” (as it is generally accepted to call the most popular software of recent times) is a set of options, program actions, search engine, and others.

Its creation is a natural continuation of working with programs that are usually managed by people, and to achieve the desired results, more than one is usually needed, which accordingly takes time and effort in a tedious formal activity, such as endless clicking around the electronic world. It was a matter of time before the person gathered everything under one wing and shortened the path to achieving the desired result, as it is already possible with ChatGPT and other software of its kind. You ask what you want, you search, you ask, and it gives you the final result — IN A MIND-BLOWINGLY SHORT TIME!

And why do people call it INTELLECT? That’s the wrong word — Why?

Especially because of the meaning of the word:
Thinking abilities, level of mental development of the person. High intelligence. Developed intelligence.

Synonyms:
Mind, reason, thought, thinking ability, mental abilities, intelligence, imagination.

Anyone who has worked with it and decides to experience it quickly understands that the software does not have these qualities — but it does not need them.

Here, a big role is played by the marketing effect, which has felt, so to speak, the word that raises waves in society.

For a number of reasons, we can say that, apart from the name software upgrade, it is not something new — such as from the creation of the first computer to the latest model, there is a transition that similarly shortens the necessary commands to achieve the desired result in the machine.

Another reason to confuse it with intelligence is the way the software responds — in a human analogue type of conversation. (Naturally, this is so that it can be used by a larger percentage of people, because the terminology has always made it difficult for a certain percentage of the real intelligence — man.) In fact, the software can present a given set of information in all languages and jargons, which is not surprising considering the evolution with hard drives, flash memory, memory cards, and others that have increased their capacity 1000 times or more since their invention.

These software can save a HUGE amount of time in the work process: writing, programming, calculating, revising, translating, educating, analyzing, simply informing, or personal needs of each user. (In individual articles I will present interesting ways to use them in the work and business sphere.)

Why are there people who disapprove of it?

Let’s figure this out now

Everything has its supporters and opponents since the beginning of time. Let’s see what the specific reasons are in our case.

1. People who are worried about losing their jobs

2. People who watch science fiction movies but do not distinguish between the artificial intelligence presented there, which acts as a malicious one, and the real intelligence, are simply labeled as artificial origin, and our hero, Software for Everything, in an accessible language, has the large database on the internet and the speed to read it in milliseconds.

  1. Paranoiacs — a disease state expressed in fear of persecution, fear of taking over, fear of watching, fear of rustling leaves in a desolate meadow.

In the ancient times of human existence, there were 10 professions, such as a blacksmith who pushed metal products with a hammer all day. In the modern world, this method of production was replaced by factories with machines — but then there were no operators with cameras or journalists. Therefore, many specific professions disappear and new ones arise, but humanity moves on. And there will be room for everyone under the sun.

An acquaintance who worked as an executioner under Henry the 8th complained to me that inventing the electric chair put him out of a job.

After the joke, it is appropriate to appeal to social systems (as well as, in particular, for people to interact and redirect workers who are replaced by software into other activities).

Jobs will not disappear, but transform.

If AI saves so much time, will it accelerate human development in the coming years?
Yes, this is inevitable and crystal clear. All that generally powerful computers can do is save time faster and faster to reach the set goal. This is a transition that perhaps began with the invention of the first electronic calculator.

The questions that humanity needs to think about are:
Will we live more happily?
Will I spend more time with my loved ones and the world in general, while AI works for us?

Can we recognize it as the invention of the 21st century?
Software for everything — or the so-called “artificial intelligence” — can it claim the invention of the 21st century?

For me, ChatGPT is a collection of many programs that existed before it, as well as adding new options powered by more powerful machines. (So I wouldn’t exactly call it an invention, but if you reach an option where, when you open your computer, there is only one icon — and from there you can do everything — maybe I’ll vote for it to get a Nobel Prize in Technology, for example.)

In any case, inspiration, idea, work — always start from the imagination of man.

ChatGPT is not just a tool, but a symbol of a new era.
Accepting or rejecting it shows how society is coping with big innovations.
